Transport and Setup

This section answers practical questions about getting your cart to and from events and setting it up on the day.

  • The cart weight will vary by model, accessories and features. But to provide an approximation, please see below:

    The Kensington

    • 200kg (empty, without lid)

    • 230kg (with fridge, without lid)

    • 220kg (empty, with lid)

    The Richmond

    Please Note: These are all approximations and will differ depending on features and accessories added or changed.

  • Due to the design and hardware used, Cartisan carts can take up to 600kg in weight.

    This is due to the weight rating the castor wheels can hold up to.

  • Most Cartisan carts can be transported in a medium-sized van or larger. The Shoreditch is specifically designed to fold down more compactly and fit into most cars with the rear seats folded down.

    We always, however, recommend checking the dimensions shown on each product page and comparing them with your available vehicle before ordering/transporting them.

  • Yes. The Shoreditch has been designed to fold down and fit into many medium-sized cars and larger vehicles. In most cases, the rear seats will need to be folded down to accommodate it and the other parts (i.e. water bottles or branding boards).

    As vehicle storage size can vary significantly between car models, we recommend checking the cart's dimensions against your own vehicle before transport.

  • Most models can be set up in under 5–10 minutes once you're familiar with the process (not including your equipment).


    The first few times may take a little longer as you get used to the process.

  • No tools are needed for any of our carts to be set up.

    All our carts are designed for a quick, tool free set-up so you can be operational as fast as possible at any event.

  • For safety, we would recommend a minimum of two people for the carts. All our Cartisan carts come with heavy-duty castors that are able to move over most terrains.

  • Yes, all our carts come with heavy-duty wheels as standard, making them easy to manoeuvre on both indoors and outdoor surfaces.

  • The Printed Boards are printed flat panels that can be added and removed from the cart as you need them. They are not permanently fixed to the coffee carts.

    The 3D Logo option gives a premium look with a physical depth. Unlike the printed boards, this option is stuck directly to the case.

    However, the printed boards can still be used even when the 3D letters are applied.

  • Yes, all our branding can be added at a later date should you not know what you want right away.

  • Yes, the Printed Boards have been designed to be easily interchangeable at a later date.

    Ideal if you rebrand or use different branding for other events and clients.

  • Yes, we are always happy to assist with artwork preparation to ensure your branding looks great on the cart.

  • Yes! Many of our customers have multiple branded board sets for different clients or events - it's great way to keep things flexible and allow you to quickly adjust depending on where you are booked/trading.

  • Yes, branding boards are removable and interchangeable, giving you full flexibility over how your cart looks.

  • Yes, the slat wall is designed to be removable should you prefer a cleaner look or wish to use the Printed Boards.

  • The Printed Boards are made from 5mm Foamex, a lightweight yet durable material that delivers vibrant print quality and holds up well in outdoor conditions.

  • We offer a range of accessories to complement your coffee cart, including:

  • Our coffee carts come with a 13amp power supply as standard, with the option to upgrade to 32amp depending on the machines you plan to run.

  • Yes! All of our accessories are interchangeable across our coffee cart range, as every cart uses the same connector system.

Power and Water

Everything you need to know to get serving straight away.

  • Yes, all of our carts come with 13amp power as standard. An upgrade to 16amp and 32amp is also available as an optional extra.

  • Water is available as an upgrade, giving you a fully self-contained setup with no need for an external supply. 

    The system includes a fresh water bottle, waste water bottle, and a filtration system, ensuring clean water throughout, whether you're running your rinser, espresso machine, or any other equipment. 

  • Our water system uses a built-in fresh water bottle and a separate waste water bottle, with a filtration system to keep your water clean and ready to use.
    Simply fill up before your serving and empty the waste bottle at the end.

    No plumbing required, making it easy to use.

  • Yes!

    A fridge comes as standard on our Richmond and Kensington models.

    For the other coffee carts, under-counter fridge units are available as an optional extra.

Manufacturing and Lead Times

Our Cartisan Coffee Carts are manufactured here in our UK workshop, but here are some of our most asked questions.

  • Yes, all Cartisan Carts are designed and manufactured in the UK, ensuring high quality craftsmanship.

  • Our standard lead time for the advertised carts is approximately 4 weeks from receipt of payment.

    For custom carts, this may increase to 5–6 weeks depending on the requirements needed.

    Our team will always provide you with a more accurate lead time at the time of ordering so you know exactly when to expect your cart.

  • Yes, all our carts are made to order, which means they're manufactured based on the model spec, branding, and accessories.

  • Our cart range has been carefully designed with versatility in mind, so you'll find that our standard models cover the needs for most businesses.

    That said, we're always happy to discuss custom projects, just keep in mind that lead times and pricing may vary depending on the exact requirements.

  • As every Cartisan coffee Cart is built to order, we sadly do not keep any stock.

    If for any reason, we do have stock, we will let you know via our social channels and/or our mailing list.

  • Yes, we'd love for you to come and visit us in Kent.

    We do only have our Richmond model reaily available to view as this is our show cart.


    However, depending on what's currently being built, there may also be other models available to view when you arrive.

    Before visiting, we kindly ask that you give us at least 24 hours' notice before arriving.

Ordering and Delivery

  • Yes, we offer worldwide shipping on all of our carts.
