Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you buy a Cartisan coffee cart, accessory or custom build from us, online, by quote or in person. Please read them before you order.
-
Cartisan Carts is a brand of NSP Cases LTD a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07204411. Our registered office is Gallants Farm Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 0LF and our VAT number is GB129641602
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Cartisan Carts. “You” and “your” mean the person or business buying from us.
-
Consumer: an individual buying wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
Business customer: anyone buying in the course of a business, including sole traders, mobile baristas, cafés, event companies and brands.
Goods: carts, accessories and parts we sell.
Standard cart: a cart from our published range (for example The Kensington, The Camden, The Dalston or The Richmond) in a listed finish, with no bespoke changes.
Custom build: any cart made or altered to your specification, including custom sizes, finishes, branding, wraps, signage or fitted equipment.
Specification: the drawings, finishes, artwork and options agreed in writing for your order.
Some sections apply differently to consumers and business customers. Where that is the case, we say so.
-
You can order standard carts through our website, or request a quote from our sales team.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A quote is not an offer to sell until you accept it and we confirm.
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract between us is formed only when we email you an order confirmation.
We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a price was clearly wrong. If we do, we will refund anything you have paid.
Please check your order and specification carefully. You are responsible for giving us accurate measurements, intended use and any site constraints, such as doorway widths or lift access.
-
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Website prices include VAT at the current rate. Quotes to business customers may be shown excluding VAT and will say so.
Delivery, installation and optional extras are charged separately unless included in your quote.
Standard carts are to be paid in full at checkout and/or from quotes.
Custom carts are to be paid in full at checkout and/or from quotes.
We will not release goods until we have received payment in full.
For business customers, late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
-
Before production starts, we will send you a final specification and, where relevant, artwork proofs. Work begins only after you approve them in writing.
Please check proofs carefully. We are not responsible for errors in spelling, colours or dimensions that were in the specification you approved.
Colours on screen and in print can differ from finished materials. Small variations in timber grain, powder coat and wrap colour are natural and are not a fault.
Changes after approval may affect the price and lead time. We will confirm any change in writing before going ahead.
If you cancel a custom build after approval, we may keep from your payment the reasonable costs we have already incurred, such as materials ordered and work completed. We will refund any balance.
-
Lead times are estimates. Standard carts are usually dispatched within 3-4 weeks from payment. Custom builds are usually dispatched within 4-5 weeks from payment.
We deliver to mainland UK. International delivery is available on request.
You may collect from our workshop by appointment.
Someone must be available to receive the delivery, and there must be safe, level access. If delivery fails because of access or because no one is present, we may charge for re-delivery or storage.
Checking your delivery
Please inspect your cart on arrival and note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork. Tell us about transit damage within 24 hours with photographs, so we can put it right quickly. This does not affect a consumer’s statutory rights.
-
Responsibility for the goods (risk) passes to you on delivery, or when you or your courier collect them.
Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full.
-
If you are a consumer
If you bought a standard cart online, by phone or by email, you have 14 days from the day you receive it to cancel for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
To cancel, contact us at hello@cartisancarts.com
or reply to a previous message. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back. We may reduce the refund if the goods have been handled more than was needed to inspect them.
This right does not apply to custom builds made to your specification or clearly personalised, such as branded carts.
If you are a business customer
Once we have confirmed your order, it can only be cancelled with our agreement. Clause 5.5 applies to custom builds.
-
Your legal rights (consumers)
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you may be entitled to a refund within 30 days, or to a repair, replacement or partial refund. Nothing in these terms affects these rights.
Our workshop warranty (all customers)
In addition, we warrant that our carts will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from delivery.
If a defect appears, contact us with your order number and photographs. We will repair or replace the affected part or, if that is not possible, offer a partial or full refund.
The warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, cosmetic marks from normal use, damage from accidents, misuse, overloading, exposure beyond normal outdoor use, unauthorised modifications or repairs, or failure to follow our care guide.
Business customers
The workshop warranty above is your sole remedy for defective goods, to the extent permitted by law.
-
The designs, drawings, names and photography of Cartisan carts remain our property. You may not copy or reproduce our designs.

Business customers: we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability under any order is limited to the price paid for that order.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply.
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our agreement.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
